Privacy notice

This notice explains what happens to your information when you visit this website or get in touch about a project.

Who is responsible?

Christopher Lambie, trading as C Lambie Website Design, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, is responsible for personal information collected through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email enquire@clambiewebdesign.tech.

Information you provide

The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, an optional business name and a message. If you email directly, I receive your email address and the information you include in your correspondence. Please only share information relevant to your project and avoid sensitive personal information.

The form needs your name, a valid email address and a message to submit an enquiry. Providing a business name is optional.

How and why it is used

I use this information to answer enquiries, understand your requirements, discuss a possible project and prepare a proposal. Where you ask about entering a contract, this processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract. For other business correspondence, I rely on my legitimate interest in responding to people who contact me.

Cloudflare processes technical information, including your IP address and request details, to deliver and protect the website. The form uses a hashed IP-derived value for rate limiting to reduce repeated automated submissions. This security processing supports the legitimate interest in keeping the website and inbox secure.

The enquiry form does not subscribe you to a marketing list. There is no automated decision-making or profiling about whether to accept your project.

Where your information goes

The website and form are hosted by Cloudflare. Submitted enquiries are sent through Cloudflare’s email service to my Microsoft-hosted inbox. The website does not store a separate copy of submissions in a database. The form’s application code does not log message contents or email addresses.

Cloudflare and Microsoft process information to provide hosting, security and email services. Their infrastructure may process information outside the UK. Information about their processing and international transfer arrangements is available in the Cloudflare privacy policy and Microsoft privacy statement. You can contact me for more information about the handling of your enquiry.

How long information is kept

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to deal with your request and complete related follow-up. Relevant correspondence may be kept longer if it becomes part of a client project, is needed for contractual or legal records, or is necessary to resolve a dispute. The website does not automatically delete emails from my inbox. You can contact me to ask about the information held about your enquiry or request its deletion.

Cookies, fonts and portfolio demos

The website’s application code does not set advertising cookies or use visitor analytics tools. Cloudflare may process technical information or use security mechanisms to protect its services.

The Altitude demo’s fonts are hosted on this website, so viewing them does not require your browser to contact Google Fonts.

The three demonstration websites are fictional portfolio concepts. Their illustrative interactions do not send enquiries or booking details to a business. The real enquiry form is on the main portfolio homepage.

Your rights and complaints

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive information in a portable format. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exemptions. Contact enquire@clambiewebdesign.tech to make a request or raise a concern.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. Visit the ICO’s complaints page for details.
